Enrollment Procedure
In considering a student for enrollment, the school request that all previous evaluations - psychological, educational and medical be made available to the school. The school accepts psycho-educational evaluation done by a qualified psychologist within one year prior to the application for admission. At the convenience of the applicant's family or guardian, a personal interview and school visit will take place. The final step is an interview with the student applicant. The psycho-educational evaluation and the student interview is vital not only to determine eligibility but as to assist in the development of the individual's educational program (IEP).

Factors that contribute to the length of a student's stay include chronological age, intellectual capabilities, individual strengths and weaknesses and the support in the student's home. When the student does leave Vanguard, the school provides a follow-up survey to monitor the student's adjustment to the next school environment. .
